Justin Brimmer is the founder and chief strategist of UNORTHODOX INC., a private advisory firm engineering capital architecture, estate strategy, and multi-generational wealth systems for principals, founders, family offices, and influential talent across entertainment, sports, and private capital.

Financial stewardship is not Justin’s profession — it is his bloodline. A relative of the late  Dr. Andrew F. Brimmer (1926–2012), the first African American Governor of the Federal Reserve System (1966–1974). Justin descends from a family in which financial leadership has been the inherited discipline across every generation: a father and uncle who served as accountants, a sister continuing the practice today, a grandfather who served as treasurer of his church, and a great cousin who shaped American monetary policy at the highest level.

 

Verified Y-DNA traces the paternal line further still — to haplogroup E-P252, the same lineage identified in the mummy of Ramesses III, last great pharaoh of Egypt’s New Kingdom and custodian of one of antiquity’s most sophisticated treasury systems. From the granaries of Thebes to the Federal Reserve to the ledgers of a Louisiana church, the Brimmer line has stewarded wealth across three thousand years. Justin holds the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designations; FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities and investment licenses; an undergraduate degree in Pre-Law and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley; and a Master of Science in Financial and Estate Planning from The American College of Financial Services.

Justin lives in Los Angeles with his wife, their four children (ages 10, 12, 14, and 19), and their black Labrador. Each morning begins with meditation and gratitude — a quiet practice anchoring his work as Husband, Father, Advisor, Mentor, and Teacher.
